Gold Coast Bachelor Pad

Lauren and her team renovated and redesigned this Gold Coast high-rise apartment off of Lake Michigan — with direct views of the city skyline — in conjunction with Massey Hoffman Architects. They replaced the faux, cherry-wood floors with wide-plank, whitewashed oak, and designed the kitchen to maximize the space for the homeowner. The Quartzite countertops — selected to resemble marble, yet be more practical — extend into the dining area for a seamless transition. Meanwhile, Lauren carefully selected furnishings that reflect the modernity of the home, while keeping the scale of the pieces uncluttered to stage the client’s modern art collection, which includes an original Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass panel, among other spectacular pieces.

“It was an unusual pleasure to have the opportunity to build around a client’s incredible art collection, including an original Frank Lloyd Wright stained-glass panel. We used innovative design ideas to maximize space in the apartment and keep the feel very modern and minimal.” ~ L.C.
