CHICAGO, IL – November 5, 2020 – Prominent interior architecture and design firm, Lauren Coburn, LLC, has been honored as 2020-21 Design Recipient for the USA & Americas Region. The firm has received the with the International Property Awards’ “World’s Best” Award for two of its Illinois projects. The awards, which are in the Residential Interior Private Residence category, are for the firm’s Casa Blanco and Glen Ellyn Residences. Recognition for two properties in the same year is virtually unprecedented and is an extraordinarily high honor. The competition is set regionally by stages, culminating in the International Property Awards’ bestowal of the World’s Best Award, which will take place in early 2021. The level of the award that each honoree has won will be revealed at the November 10 awards event, which will occur virtually this year.

The International Property Awards’ USA & Americas Property Awards are the largest, most prestigious, and widely recognized program in the region. The awards are judged by an independent panel of more than 80 industry experts, who focus on the projects’ design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability. The judging panel is chaired this year by Lord Caithness, Lord Best and Lord Waverley, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament. The Awards are in their 27th year and cover over 45 different residential and commercial categories. Regional heats are staged for Arabia, Europe, Africa, Canada, Central & South America, the Caribbean, USA, UK, and the Asia-Pacific region. The top winners in each region will automatically be entered into the overall international awards, culminating in the announcements of the International and World’s Best winners at the end of the process.
